Top juniors in Washington expected to play in this weekend’s WIBCA/WIAA Basketball Showcase

Think ahead – to the 2014 class.

College coaches will surely be in the area come this weekend for the 11th annual WIBCA/WIAA Basketball Showcase at Bellevue Community College.

There will be 16 teams (160 players total) representing Seattle, Tacoma, Bellingham, Vancouver, Spokane, Yakima, Tri-Cities and Olympia featuring some of the best boys’ basketball talent for next year’s class.

Some of the locals playing include Curtis High’s Dom Jordan, Lincoln High’s Latravion Satterwhite, Lakes High’s Cedric Williams, and Cedar Park Christian’s Evan Scholten.

Tournament games start Saturday at 10 a.m. and run all the way through 7 p.m. Games will resume Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. – with the championship games slated for 1 p.m.

Daily tickets are $5 per person.

    The title says “Top Juniors” and you reference “the 2014 class” but all but one of the players mentioned are seniors. Also, Cedar Park Christian is located in Bothel and not very local.

    Do you know who coaches these teams Todd?
