Turns out Wilson High’s Connor Patterson wasn’t just interested in tasting the fine cuisine of France for a week.

The Rams’ senior, and tight end, hauled in the game’s final score – a 10-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter – of the AFW Elite U.S. team’s 19-0 victory over the Under-19 national team from France in Paris.

Patterson caught the scoring pass from Mike Zebold, a prep quarterback from Illinois – capping a 23-yard drive after a turnover.

A post-game celebration between American and French players wrapped up the day. In fact, many of the U.S. players brought gifts to exchange with their counterparts.
