* Harry Stenberg’s RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning was the winning run, and Bellarmine Prep edged South Kitsap, 3-2, in Tacoma. The Lions remain alone in second place in the Narrows 4A.

* After giving up two runs in the 11th inning, host Bonney Lake rallied for three runs, stunning Peninsula, 9-8, in SPSL 3A action. Grant Townsend knocked in the game-winning run on a two-out single, scoring Chris Brown for the Panthers.

* Fife scored all eight of its runs late, rallying past Sumner, 8-4, in taking sole possession of first place in the SPSL 2A – and leading White River by a half-game. Fife tied the game in the sixth inning on Josh Connolly’s three-run home run. Reigning league player of the year Brock Carpenter also hit a home run to help the Trojans to a win.

* North Thurston’s win over Wilson (14-1) and Shelton’s victory over Foss (13-2) left the two schools deadlocked in a tie atop the Narrows 3A standings.
