Jackson’s undefeated record may have been weighing on the Timber Wolves, but the got past Central Valley of Spokane 55-47 to advance and face Arlington for the third time this season in the Class 4A boys quarterfinals.
Jackson trailed 15-6 at one point early in the game, but rallied to take a 26-25 lead at halftime.
No. 2 Jackson (25-0) nudged ahead of the No. 4 Bears (22-3) in a tightly contested game on a long three pointer by Dan Kingma on the wing that beat the buzzer, giving the Timber Wolves a 37-33 at the end of three quarters. Jackson maintained control of the game the rest of the way to stay undefeated on the year
Jason Todd led the Timber Wolves with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Kingma finished with 12 points.
Adam Chamberlain and Austin Rehkow finished with 13 apiece for Central Valley. Beau Bys totaled 10 points, and swingman Austin Daines chipped in six points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for the Bears.
