Jimmy Fioretti, an Auburn High graduate with extensive club soccer coaching experience, has been hired at Auburn Mountainview to lead the Lions’ boys program, athletic director Chris Carr announced Friday.

Fioretti replaces Cary Davidson, who stepped down at the end of last season.

“He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position, and we are fortunate to have hired Jimmy in the classroom as well,” Carr said.

The ex-University of San Diego and University of Puget Sound player was a Loggers’ assistant under Reece Olney (2008-12), an assistant at Auburn High last season and has also coached at Washington Premier FC where he won a U-18 national title in 1999.
