The News Tribune picks three South Sound football games every week to preview:

No. 3 Bellarmine Prep (10-1) at No. 6 Gonzaga Prep (10-1)
2 p.m. Saturday, Bullpup Stadium at Gonzaga Prep, Spokane

About the Lions: As much as folks identify with this team through QB Sefo Liufau (150-211, 1,948 yards, 19 TDs; 233 rushing yards, seven TDs) and his efficient play, the real weapon the past two weeks has been RB Lou Millie (197 carries, 1,170 yards, 13 TDs). Rested a little bit midseason, Millie has 388 yards and four touchdowns in two playoff games.

About the Bullpups: For followers of the Narrows League, Gonzaga Prep plays much like Olympia – disciplined with eight defenders in the box. Where they differ is on offense as the Bullpups run the triple option, and have eaten up defenses (averaging 429.5 rushing yards per game) – led by RB Griffin Hare (193 carries, 1,831 yards, 20 TDs).

TNT pick: Bellarmine Prep, 28-24.

“Score Czar” computer pick: Bellarmine Prep, 28-16.

No. 2 Federal Way (11-0) at No. 4 Camas (11-0)
5 p.m. Saturday, Doc Harris Stadium, Camas

About the Eagles: They are back at full health, and expect to finally get tested for four quarters in this game. Coach John Meagher will see whose athletes are better in space, and he likes his chances with RBs Zeek McNeal (90 carries, 1,321 yards, 16 TDs) and Chico McClatcher (15 TDs, four punt returns for scores) to do something big.

About the Papermakers: The class of the 4A Greater St. Helens League, and that is saying something. Camas boasts 11 all-league players, and when it needs a big play on offense, the football is usually going to WR Zach Eagle (61 catches, 837 yards, seven TDs) out of the slot. The Papermakers will go high-tempo, no-huddle much of the time to try and stress Federal Way.

TNT pick: Federal Way, 48-45.

“Score Czar” computer pick: Camas, 32-26.

No. 2 Lynden (10-1) at No. 10 Sumner (9-2)
7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunset Chev Stadium, Sumner

About the Lions: Most SPSL 2A tailbacks are downhill punishers. That is not how RB Luke Christianson (149 carries, 1,244 yards, 20 TDs) gets it done for Lynden – he is a cutback speedster, and that worries the Spartans. Of course, everything runs through do-everything QB Josh Kraight (124-188, 1,804 yards, 21 TDs; 711 rushing and 10 TDs).

About the Spartans: Sumner knows it is the heavy underdog, and vows not to unwisely get in a shootout with the Lions. That means the offense needs sustained drives behind RB Lokahi Kamau (196 carries, 1,256 yards, 14 TDs) and company. Expect Sumner to spy Kraight with LB Austin Striplin (136 tackles, 10 tackles for loss) and DB Jeremy Jackson.

TNT pick: Lynden, 28-19.

“Score Czar” computer pick: Lynden, 30-8.
