Greetings as we set to say farewell to September football – all five weeks of it – tonight and Saturday.

I got pulled into my old job – University of Washington football – on Thursday. Originally the plan was to staff the Auburn-Kentlake game, which the Trojans eked out, 28-24.
* Meg Wochnick of The Olympian followed another River Ridge win as the Hawks have reeled off four wins in a row.
* The Seattle Times had this account of the exciting Kentlake-Auburn finish.
We continue our string of weekly chats. This morning, we travel to Federal Way for a 45-minute session with Beamer football coach Darren McKay, whose Titans will have one priority in mind tonight at Curtis – stop receiver Carter McKay, Darren’s son (although Vikings’ tailback EJ Deveaux might have something to say about that, too).
As always, the live chat will begin at 11 a.m. here on the blog.
