I caught some of the high school football camp at the University of Puget Sound today. Bonney Lake, Kentwood, Ballard, Hazen and Skyline were on the practice fields when I was there. Tahoma, Kentridge, Timberline, Enumclaw and Auburn Riverside were in the other practice session.
I caught up with Skyline quarterback Max Browne after the Spartans’ morning practice. Browne, one of the top high school quarterbacks in the country, is orally committed to Southern California. In two seasons as a starter, Browne has thrown for 8,216 yards and 95 touchdowns.
Browne won’t be at the final day of the UPS team camp Wednesday — he caught a flight out of Sea-Tac Tuesday night to California for the Elite 11 quarterback camp.
Look forward to watching this kid tear it up at S.C. in a few years.
