Four South Sound baseball players, including three from Rogers High, have been selected to play in the Area Code games this summer.

Utility players Michael Sexton and Stefan Van Horn and catcher Logan Ice of Rogers will play for the Kansas City Royals team. The trio will be joined by Kentwood High catcher Reese McGuire.

Of the 29 players on the Royals’ roster, 17 are from Washington.

The prestigious Area Code games will be played Aug. 5-10 at Long Beach, Calif.
