Some first-round games in the boys soccer state tournaments were played Tuesday night and the rest will be completed tonight.

Franklin Pierce defender Terell McDonald scored with 10 seconds left, vaulting the Cardinals ahead of Sehome 3-2, and into the Class 2A quarterfinals.
Washougal’s bus broke down on the way to Sunset Chev Stadium to take on Fife. Once the Panthers arrived, the Trojans made quick work, beating Washougal 6-0.
Emerald Ridge took Central Valley to a shootout in the first round of the 4A state playoffs before falling, 4-3. Luke Logan scored in the final minute in regulation, tying the score and sending the match to overtime. CV won the shootout, 3-1.
Peninsula lost to Eastmont, 5-1.
