The Bulldogs withstood a gigantic effort from Timberwolves forward Jason Todd to advance to the trophy round.

Todd, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, erupted for 29 points, going 10 for 15 from the field. He also pulled down 15 rebounds.

Behind a balanced scoring attack, Garfield never trailed. Three players scored in double-figures, led by guard Tucker Haymond’s 19 points and 10 rebounds. Pierre Wright added 16 points and Trevaunte’ Williams had 12 points.
