Four Pirates scored in double-figures and Davis shot a blistering 65.4 percent from the field, earning a second straight trip to the state semifinals.
“We’ve been waiting for this all week,” said guard David Trimble, who totaled 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Forward Devonte Luckett scored 23 points on 11-for-15 shooting from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds. Guard Cooper Kupp poured in 19, going 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, and guard Raymond Navarro added 11 points, hitting all three of his 3-point attempts.
Bothell guard Zach LaVine managed to score 20 points, but Davis made him work hard for his points. LaVine went 8 for 20 from the field. Perrion Callandret chipped in 12 points.
“Every shot they took, just get a hand up,” Trimble said. “Overall we boxed out good.”
The Pirates outrebounded Bothell 41-23.
Davis raced to a 20-5 lead six minutes into the game. Perrion Callendret helped Bothell respond, keying a 9-0 run that brought the Cougars within two baskets, 20-14.
The Pirates recovered and closed out the final seven minutes of the first half on a 16-4 run and led by double digits the rest of the game.
