Mount Rainier’s McPhee places 23rd at national cross country race

Mount Rainier High sophomore Jordan McPhee placed 23rd at the prestigious Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships last weekend in San Diego, Calif.

McPhee was one of 40 runners from across the country — and the only female from Washington — that qualified to compete in the race.

  1. 2 out of the top 6 on the guys side were from Washington, too: Nathan Weitz (3rd) and Andrew Gardner (6th), both out of Spokane.
