Lakes’ standout all-state linemen Zach Banner, who will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in a few weeks, has been nominated for the Glenn Davis Award as part of that all-star game.

“The Army All-American Bowl is not only a celebration of football, but also a celebration of the strength of the American Soldier,” said John Myers, Director of Strategic Communications, Marketing and Outreach, U.S. Army Accessions Command. “The nominees for the Felix “Doc” Blanchard and Glenn Davis awards epitomize the Army’s high standard of excellence in community service, education and athletic distinction. Through their mental, emotional and physical strengths, they exemplify what it means to be Army Strong.”
