Lakes senior Cedric Dozier will be a Cal Bear.

The athletic receiver/quarterback/defensive back made the announcement Sunday evening on his Facebook page.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Dozier had scholarship offers from Oregon, Washington, Arizona State and others. Dozier will play in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January at San Antonio.

Dozier is the third Lakes senior this fall to give an oral commitment to a Pac-12 program. Defensive tackle Zaheer Webb and safety Ma’ne Manaea committed to Colorado in September.

That leaves offensive tackle Zach Banner as Lakes’ only uncommitted Pac-12 prospect.

  1. We are all so proud of you Cedric. You have taken every opportunity provided and ran with it. I recall your sophmore year, you quit football so you could focus on basketball as was the reason you gave. Two days went by and I distinctly remember you approaching me with “I think I made a mistake.” I knew what but played as if I didnt know and asked what mistake. Man I quit football. Yea so did you just stop going or talk to coach Miller. I turned in my equipment and told him I was concentrating on basketball. Well what are you going to do? I guess I need to talk go up and talk to coach can I get a ride.” You have given me so many memories I will never forget. You are one of the hardest working people I know. Your leadership both on and off the field has not gone unnoticed. Your whole family, that includes the Lancer family is so proud. Now that you drive I was going to ask if I could get a ride. Thanks for Oregon, Elensburg, Spokane, Las Vegas, The Tacoma Dome (We arent finished there yet). Seahawks Training Facility, the Little Lancers, The Panthers, The great moments I will always remember. Congrats Little Brother. You are a great role model for all of us. Hard Work has paid its dues. I guess I have to get a CAL hat now. Much love and keep up the hard work.
