This list of the country’s top 100 high school football recruits over the past 10 years got me wondering: Who are the top 10 football recruits in the state in that same span?

Without considering a player’s post-high school career, here’s my top 10:

1. Jonathan Stewart, Timberline 2005
2. Jake Locker, Ferndale 2006
3. Steve Schilling, Bellevue 2006
4. Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Gig Harbor 2011
5. Taylor Mays, O’Dea 2006
6. Kavario Middleton, Lakes 2008
7. Kasen Williams, Skyline 2011
8. Anthony Felder, O’Dea 2005
9. Jake Heaps, Skyline 2010
10. Sione Potoa’e, Lakes 2010

Others that I considered:
Keauntea Bankhead, Ballard
Chancellor Young, O’Dea
Jermaine Kearse, Lakes
Shelton Sampson, Clover Park
Aaron Klovas, Bethel
Matt Tuiasosopo, Woodinville
Bishop Sankey, Gonzaga Prep
Nate Robinson, Rainier Beach
Tahj Bomar, Kentwood
Leon Jackson, Pasco
J.R. Hasty, Bellevue
Any Mattingly, Mead

Have I forgotten anyone? How would you rank the state’s top recruits over the past 10 years?

Who are the state's top high school football recruits over the past 10 years (you can select three)?

I think Corey Belser, Bethel, 2001 and Reggie Williams, Lakes, 2001 were overlooked. Coach81, Marcus Trufant graduated from Wilson in 2000.

  3. I only went back 10 years, and Belser, Williams and Trufant are further back than that.

    wasn’t Kellan Moore from Washington?
