This happened a few days ago, but I know many of you will be interested in it.

The Pacific Northwest Football Officials Association filed a lawsuit against the Washington Officials Association and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. Click here to read the complaint the PNFOA filed.

You probably already know the back story, but here it is if you don’t:

PNFOA referees wore pink whistles during games in October to raise awareness for breast cancer — they tossed blue penalty flags earlier in the season to do the same for prostate cancer. They also donated game checks to a breast cancer charity. In May, the WOA disciplined them for not receiving approval to wear pink whistles, which are not part of the official uniform.
