National preseason high school football rankings — yes, you read that correctly

I came across this national preseason Top-100 list of high school football teams. It seems ludicrous that anyone could think they could put together a list of the country’s top 100 high school football teams before any of them have played a game — doing preseason rankings for one state is tough enough — but there it is. No Washington schools were listed in the top 100, but Bothell, Bellevue and Sammamish high schools were listed among “others receiving consideration.”

I doubt actually meant to include Sammamish High School. Instead, the people who conjured up these rankings probably meant Skyline High School, which is in the city of Sammamish. Or maybe the Totems are really stacked this season?
