Update (10:47 a.m.) Rain has turned the fastpitch state tournaments into one-day events.

All of Friday’s games in the 4A and 3A tourneys were postponed to today because the fields at South End Recreation Area in Tacoma were unplayable.

Games are scheduled to begin today at 10 a.m. for 4A and 11:30 a.m. for 3A. Because tournament officials want to complete the tournament today, a revised format has been implemented.

Teams will be guaranteed two games, but many of the consolation games have been scrapped. Teams that lose their first game and win the second will receive third-place trophies. Semifinals will be played at 6 p.m. and championship games are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Last week rain forced the West Central District tournaments to be postponed twice and even then the tournaments were not completed.

Here are the revised brackets

Class 4A

Class 3A
