What to watch today

Some of the best track and field athletes in the South Sound will gather at Shelton for the 50th Annual Shelton Invite.

Friday’s highlights

Dalton Gervais tossed a shutout and hit a home run, leading Rogers past Bethel 12-0.

Curtis’ Trever Quitugua homered and drove in five runs as the Vikings beat Graham-Kapowsin 7-2.

Wilson’s Warren Sadler threw a complete game, helping the Rams to a 5-3 win against Bellarmine Prep.

Casey Edwards, Brad Falk and Alex Sloan crushed home runs for Sumner in its 11-4 win at Bonney Lake.

Gig Harbor’s Barrett Schmidtke and David Bigelow combined to hold Stadium to two hits as the Tides rolled to an 11-1 win. Spencer Manjarrez went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBI.

Kentlake’s Doug Christie threw a three-hit shutout as the Falcons topped Auburn Riverside 4-0.

Bethel shocked Rogers 7-6, knocking the Rams out of a first-place tie in the SPSL South softball standings. Hailey Watson hit a home run for the Rams.

Janessa Flynn fired a one-hitter for Wilson and the Rams beat Shelton 5-0.

Kentridge’s Danielle Orvella and Kelli Suguro combined to strike out 13 and give up one hit in the Chargers’ 7-0 win against Federal Way.

Xxx Knutson went 4-for-4 in Curtis’ 10-4 victory over Graham-Kapowsin.
