A fifth-grader has won the Louisiana Class 3A state golf title. Brooke Dillon shot a 1-under par 143 in the two-day tournament. In the second round, she had an eagle and two birdies, helping Episcopal of Baton Rouge to its third straight team title.

This will never happen in Washington. WIAA rules say only kids in grades 9-12 can compete in varsity sports, except in Class 1B, which allows eighth graders to compete.
