3A girls hoops: Kennedy 61, East Valley 55 – Final

Final: Kennedy 61, East Valley 55

The Lancers needed a couple, clutch baskets from last year’s tournament MVP, Yas Fuller, to seal the victory. Fuller scored a game-high 33 points and also finished with nine rebounds.

Jenni White led the Knights with 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Third quarter

East Valley actually took a 41-39 lead toward the end of the third quarter, but the Lancers when on a mini-run to end the half with a one-point lead.

The Knights have successful beating Kennedy down the floor for easy buckets.

Halftime

Considered the favorites to win it all, Kennedy Catholic has had its hands full with East Valley (Spokane), and oly leads 31-23 at halftime.

Yaz Fuller, the MVP of last year’s state tournament leads all scorers with 15. Kimmie Thatcher has eight points for the Knights.
