The Bethel School Board unanimously approved the Bethel football team’s request to open the 2010 and 2011 seasons at the epicenter of high school football, Permian High School in Odessa, Texas.

Braves coach Gavin Kralik said the board voted 5-0. The Permian Panthers, along with the school and town, were the subjects of the book Friday Night Lights, which spawned a movie and television series of the same name.
