Washington wins big at Border Clash
Washington walloped Oregon in the Nike Border Clash cross country race last weekened Beaverton, Ore.
Washington boys claimed the top 10 places, led by Central Kitsap’s Shane Moskowitz, who completed the 4,400-meter course in 14 minutes, 6.29 seconds. Gig Harbor’s Conner Peloquin was third in 14:19.86.
The Evergreen State was just as dominant in the girls race, with Washington runners occupying 15 of the first 16 finishers. Amy-Eloise Neale of Glacier Peak High School edged Oregon’s Annamarie Maag by 1.13 seconds for first place. Neale won the race in 16:37.10.
