About four weeks ago, I wrote this story on Emerald Ridge soccer player Kailee Jensen. You might recognize her as the “soccer player with no arms.” She’s much more than that and many of you agree. I received a bunch of e-mails and voicemails about the story on Kailee. I even heard from one person who also has Holt-Oram Syndrome, which causes the short arms, and was able to put her in touch with the Jensens.

As a reporter, I’ve come across many touching stories. I can honestly say that Jensen’s is one of the most inspirational I’ve had the pleasure to write about. I was so impressed by her outlook and the way her parents handled her upbringing.

Here’s the piece from King 5’s Chris Egan.

When my daughter first started playing club soccer she was on the same team as Kailee. Kailee could juggle the soccer ball over 300 times way back then. She is a great player and a great girl. I am glad she and her family get to show even more people how great they are.
