The 32-team football playoff brackets for 4A and 3A are completely filled in. Ferris emerged from a three-team mini-playoff in the Greater Spokane League, Federal Way beat Gig Harbor in a play-in game and Everett edged Sedro-Woolley for the last spot in the 3A playoffs.

In the GSL, Ferris went from being on the verge of postseason elimination just two weeks ago to taking the GSL’s No. 3 seed. The Saxons beat Gonzaga Prep 14-7 in the first mini game before clinching a postseason berth by topping University, 10-0. Ferris advances to play at CBBN No. 2 Wenatchee on Friday.

Federal Way won its seventh straight game, rolling over Gig Harbor 35-21 in a district play-in game, and will travel to Skyview on Saturday.

In 3A, Everett thumped Sedro-Woolley 41-6 to earn a date with second-ranked Lakes on Saturday at Harry E. Lang Stadium.

The wildest event of the evening was in the Evergreen Conference where five teams converged in a mini-playoff for the league’s fourth and final postseason seed. It was River Ridge that clawed over Aberdeen, Centralia, Elma and Hoquiam to earn the right to face Mark Morris later this week. In other 2A action, Squalicum beat Granite Falls, 31-6, and will play Northwest Conference champion Lynden on Saturday.

The mini-playoffs might not be over. If Cascade Christian beats Vashon and Orting and Port Townsend win on Wednesday night, the Pirates, Cardinals and Redskins will meet in a mini-playoff on Saturday at Franklin Pierce for the Nisqually League’s final two postseason berths.

Here’s what the brackets look like:

WEEK 10 STATE PLAY-IN GAMES

CLASS 4A
These games are listed in order of how teams will be place on the WIAA state playoff bracket. For instance, if Marysville-Pilchuck and Auburn win in Week 10, M-P will play at Auburn in the first round of the state playoffs. The only exception are Games 5-8 in 4A. The winning teams will be placed on the state bracket with the highest-seeded teams receiving the highest seeds. For instance, if CBBN No. 5 Walla Walla beats CBBN No. 1 Eisenhower, making it the lowest-seeded team to win, Walla Walla will get the No. 4 seed.
