For some teams in the Northwest Conference, Cascade Conference, Greater St. Helens League and Evergreen Conference, the postseason begins this week with mini-playoffs and state play-in games.
Here’s a rundown of this week’s playoff games, what teams in other Class 2A leagues need to do to secure a postseason berth, and what the first round of the state playoffs might look like.
District 1

Five teams – Aberdeen, Centralia, Elma, Hoquiam and River Ridge – are tied for the fourth seed in the Evergreen Conference.

If teams of the same seed win, the EvCo team will receive the higher seed into the state playoffs. For instance, if EvCo No. 1 W.F. West and GSHL No. 1 Mark Morris both win, W.F. West will receive the district’s No. 1 seed and Mark Morris the No. 2 seed.

Two state berths
The Nisqually Olympic League champion (Sequim is projected) is the District 3 No. 1 seed.

Interlake at Nisqually Olympic No. 2 (North Mason is projected), winner is the District 3 No. 2 seed
CWAC (District 5/6)
Three state berths
The CWAC has no crossover playoff games. The teams are seeded into the state playoffs based on league standings.
