Day 3 at Star Track XXVII

Good morning from Mount Tahoma High School. The third and final day of Star Track XXVII.

Day 2 at Star Track XXVII: Wrapping up the morning session

The morning session of Day 2 at Star Track XXVII is complete. Selah’s Brett Blanshan smashed the 2A state meet record in the boys 100-meter dash with a blistering time of 10.67 seconds. The time is the fastest time in the state in the event, regardless of classification

Day 2 Star Track XXVII: Early results, record broken (updated)

A little more than an hour into Day 2 of Star Track XXVII and a meet record has already fallen.

Selah’s Brett Blanshan shattered the 2A meet record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.67 seconds. Blanshan’s time is the fastest in the state this season, regardless of classificaiton. The previous record was 10.96 seconds, set by Pullman’s Cody Moore in 2003.

In the 4A boys 100, the top four qualifiers are all from the West Central District.

Star Track XXVII: Day 2

The second day of Star Track XXVII is here and, again, so is the sun. Couldn’t ask for better weather than this.

TNT sports reporter Todd Milles and myself are going to tackle the three-classification state track and field meet today. We’re going to try and post as many updates to the blog as we can. With so many events going on one after another and us trying to interview athletes and coaches, we can’t promise instant updates of events. But if records fall, we’ll get something up.
