The Bellarmine Prep duo of Abdul Gaddy and Avery Bradley will not be playing together in college. Following on the heals of Gaddy recommitted to Arizona earlier this week, former Lions teammate Avery Bradley committed to the University of Texas, according to a Houston Chronicle report.
Bradley, one of top-rated shooting guards in the nation, chose the Longhorns over UCLA, according to the report. Bradley averaged 25.7 points per contest for the Lions last season, and is considered one of the top high school perimeter defenders in the nation.
Bradley transferred to Findlay Prep in Las Vegas, the same place former Gig Harbor High product Clarence Trent attends school, for his senior year to help him qualify for college.
Bradley has drawn comparisons to UCLA product Russell Westbrook because of his athleticism.
"Texas is getting Russell Westbrook with 50 percent more offense," AAU coach Garry Ward told the Chronicle. "He will defend the best perimeter player on the other team. He can flat-out play."
