Reporter Mindi Rice passes along this note about Prairie point guard Ashley Corral…

Prairie’s Ashley Corral, who played in the McDonald’s All-American game todayin Milwaukee, won Monday’s Three-Point Shootout. The Southern Cal-bound senior hit 16 3-pointers in the first round, five more than the next competitor, and 15 in the second round to win the girls’ 3-point event.

The Prairie guard was the only Washington player — boy or girl — selected for this year’s McDonald’s All-American teams.

Corral was The News Tribune’s State Player of the Year.
