West Seattle took the ball to begin the third quarter trailing 19-11 and proceeded to pass the ball harmlessly around the Trojans’ zone for almost four minutes. The quarter’s first shot, by Wildcat Eddie Baker, was short with 4:16 to go. Jeff Gouveia scored on a putback with 3:47 left in the third for Auburn, the quarter’s first points.

While the pace picked up, the quarter ended at 25-17. With 3:30 to go in the game, it now is 31-21 in favor of Auburn.
