Dome cooking

In the early, loser out games, the atmosphere at the Tacoma Dome was a little subdued. The fans were into it and all, but you didn’t have that first-day excitement.

But late in the third quarter of the first boys quarterfinal, you can feel a change at the Dome. The Decatur Gators fans – best nickname in the area, FYI – are rowdy and loud. Shadle Park’s gang is fired up, too.

The players seem to be feeding off it. The pace picked up considerably. Going into the fourth quarter, Shadle Park leads, 46-43.
