More realignment news

The Narrows League is a losing a school.

North Kitsap will leave the Narrows Bay Division and join the Olympic League, Bellarmine Prep athletic director Ed Ploof confirmed this afternoon. He also said Olympia is considering joining the Western Cascade Conference.

The Narrows League realignment committee will meet on Dec. 11 to finalize any moves.

The chart accompanying today’s story on realignment left off Bethel in the SPSL South. The Braves will stay in the SPSL South.

SPSL, SPSL 3A, Western Cascade Conference facing changes

South Sound athletic conferences will take on new looks for the 2008-09 school year.

Bothell 7, LC 7 (Halftime)

We’re tied at halftime. Bothell moved the ball on its first drive, but hasn’t done much since. Lewis and Clark has found some rhythm on offense, but not enough to score more than one touchdown.

Bothell 7, LC 7 (4:28 2nd Qtr.)

Steven Eglet hit Alex Gauper in the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown, tying the score with 4 minutes, 28 seconds left in the second quarter.

LC running back Alex Shaw is carrying the Tigers. He already has 12 rushes for 53 yards.

We’re about 20 minutes to kickoff of the Class 4A state title game and the Lewis and Clark stands are just starting to fill up. That’s because six LC rooter buses got stuck in snowy weather while crossing Snoqualmie Pass.

My prediction: Bothell 27, LC 17

DeSales 30, Toutle Lake 0 (4th Qtr.)

The third quarter has just ended and DeSales is still going strong.

Toutle Lake finally cracked the Irish’s 25-yard line, but ended up turning the ball over on downs after losig yards on three straight plays.
