Boys, girls all-state games set

For those still in the mood for high school basketball, more games await this weekend.

The boys and girls all-state games will be held this Saturday.


The boys games will be held at KeyArena, and begin at 9 a.m. with the 1B vs. 2B game, followed by the 1A vs. 2A game at 10:30 a.m., and the 3A vs. 4A game at Noon.


The boys game is sponsored by the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association. Tickets can be purchased at www.theFinalScore.TV for $15 each. The tickets are good for all three games, and the Sonics game Saturday night at 7 p.m. against Golden State.


Seniors competing in the all-state games include Franklin’s Venoy Overton, Bainbridge’s Steven Gray, O’Dea’s Jamelle McMillan and Federal Way’s Terrell Smith.


Hosted by the Washington State Coaches Association, the girls all-state game will be held at Jefferson High in Federal Way on Saturday. The 1B-2B East will play the 1B-2B West at 1 p.m. The 1A-2A east will play the 1A-2A West at 3 p.m., and the 3A-4A East will play the 3A-4A West at 5 p.m.


Seniors competing in the girls games include Kentwood’s Courtney Vandersloot, Mount Tahoma’s RaNesha Pate and Santia Sanders and Krystal Smith of River Ridge.


Comcast will broadcast all of the boys and girls games via On Demand.
