Courtney Vandersloot and company are proving why they are one of the favorites to win the state title. The Kentwood girls have been in the control of things most of the first half, leading by as many as 14 over a good Skyview team, and taking a 31-21 into the lockerroom at the half.

Vandersloot was sadled with two fouls and sat out the last part of the second half. She had six point in the first half. With Vandersloot out, Lindsey Moore took over the scoring load, finishing with 12 points at the half.

Dayle Powell leads Skyview with 12 points.
