Gov. Jay Inslee said today he is canceling his scheduled Friday trip to the Paris Air Show to boost the state’s fortunes in aerospace. Mired in a second special legislative session, Inslee said he is asking U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen of Everett to go in his place, leading “a delegation of 52 aerospace executives, educators and economic professionals,” a news release says.
Larsen is ranking Democrat on the Democrat on the U.S. House Aviation Subcommittee and his hometown is host to much of Boeing’s commercial airplanes work.
