Some of the highest-paid University of Washington employees — a list that includes President Mark Emmert — say they’ll donate 5 percent of their salaries for scholarships and academic programs, the university announced this afternoon.
Other high-ranking officials like Provost Phyllis Wise, head coaches Steve Sarkisian and Lorenzo Romar and athletic director Scott Woodward have agreed to contribute. The school expects to raise more than $600,000 in donations.
