Chelan County Judge John Bridges – who presided over Gregoire/Rossi election challenge – will retire
Here’s the story from the Wenatchee World that reports that Judge John Bridges will retire.
The small-county judge became known statewide when he got the assignment to preside over the challenge to the 2004 governor’s election. While he found some irregularities in vote counting in King County, Bridges ruled there was not evidence that the election should be overturned.
The decision confirmed Chris Gregoire’s election as governor. Rossi and Republicans did not appeal the decision.
