Today Rep. Judy Clibborn unveils her latest transportation tax proposal, including a 10-cent gas tax increase that would pay for the 167-509 “Puget Sound Gateway” and other projects.
Separately, Clibborn also has put forward a no-new-taxes transportation spending plan, which could go to a vote of the full House as early as this afternoon. A similar plan in the Senate is still stuck in committee over an an argument about the Columbia River Crossing.
Both Senate and House plan to be on the floor today. Another proposal the House might take up is a bipartisan capital budget that funds construction projects such as a third building at the Pierce County Skills Center.
