House Democrats are rolling out their plan for new transportation taxes at a 12:15 p.m. news conference today.

Gov. Jay Inslee is testifying on Senate Bill 5802, his proposal to develop recommendations to achieve the state’s greenhouse gas emissions limits, at an 8 a.m. public hearing in front of the Senate Committee on Energy and Environment & Telecommunications.

The House Judiciary Committee is considering a proposal changing the rules on criminal background checks for gun purchases.

The Senate Commerce & Labor Committee will hold a public hearing on four bills covering sick leave and family medical leave at 1:30 p.m.
