A relatively quiet Friday in the Legislature today, with several work sessions but few bill hearings.

A work session discussing binge-drinking on college campuses will take place in the Senate Law & Justice Committee at 8 a.m. Following the work session, the committee will hear a bill that would create college DUI courts. The committee will meet in Hearing Room 1 of the John A. Cherberg building.

A work session discussing the implementation of federal health care reforms will take place when The House Health Care & Wellness Committee meets at 1:30 p.m. The work session will be held in Hearing Room B of the John L. O’Brien building.

Elsewhere at the Capitol, the Supreme Court plans a “Centennial Birthday Party” from noon to 2 p.m. today to mark 100 years since the Temple of Justice construction project was completed.

Additionally, The Veterans Legislative Coalition will meet today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Columbia Room of the Legislative Building.
