He’ll announce it Wednesday. The reason it is kind of a big deal is Democrats already hold the office with Brad Owen. Here’s the announcement from the Finkbeiner campaign:

What: Bill Finkbeiner, a Republican, brings together a group of
Democrats supporting his bid to become the next Lt. Governor.

Where: The entrance to King County Courthouse off of 3rd Avenue in Seattle:
516 3rd Ave # W-150, Seattle, WA 98104

When: Wednesday, October 10th at 10am

Who: Bill Finkbeiner, King County Councilmember Julia Patterson, Representative Reuven Carlyle, Washington Conservation Voters, Planned Parenthood, Naral Pro-Choice Washington, SEIU 775, and many others will gather to eat cookies “out of the box” in support of Bill’s campaign. We will also share a long list of new endorsements from Democrats who are endorsing Bill’s campaign.
