The state’s chamber of commerce, the Association of Washington Business, announced it has endorsed 42 state lawmakers for re-election based on voting records deemed pro-business.

The list includes Republican Reps. Gary Alexander, Jan Angel, Katrina Asay, Cathy Dahlquist, Richard DeBolt, Ed Orcutt, J.T. Wilcox and Hans Zeiger and Sens. Randi Becker, Mike Carrell and Dan Swecker. One South Sound Democrat, Rep. Chris Hurst, also made the list.

The AWB endorsements come on the heels of picks by the state chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business, the conservative small-business advocacy group. NFIB endorsed 15 challengers or candidates for open seats this month, including Doug Richards, Steve O’Ban, Paul Wagemann, Dan Griffey and Drew MacEwen, all Republicans.

Earlier, NFIB endorsed 48 incumbents including Sens. Becker, Carrell and Swecker, Reps. Alexander, Angel, Asay, Dahlquist, DeBolt, Orcutt, Wilcox, Zeiger, and Republican Rep. Bruce Dammeier, who is running for Senate.
