Both Democrat Dawn Morrell and Republican Shelly Schlumpf are airing their first TV ads or are about to start. And both 25th Legislative District candidates put the commercials online this week.

Here’s what they posted. Schlumpf, who leads the local chamber of commerce, pokes fun at her name, predicting it will stick in voters’ minds:

Morrell, a nurse, says she will “reject taxes and help schools:”

Both are trying to succeed Rep. Bruce Dammeier, who’s running for Senate. Also running are Michele Smith, Carole Sue Braaten, Eric Hingsberger, and Zac Nix.
