The U.S. senator’s first TV ad of her re-election campaign starts airing statewide today, her campaign announced.

It casts her as a champion of Washington’s aerospace industry, says she helped Boeing win a critical Air Force contract and pushed for job-retraining programs at two-year colleges.

Cantwell’s most prominent challengers are Spokane state Sen. Michael Baumgartner and Shoreline physician Art Coday, both Republicans. Others running include Glen “Stocky” Stockwell, Chuck Jackson, Timmy “Doc” Wilson, Will Baker and Mike the Mover.
