Matt Dubin told the Washington GOP convention that Ron Paul was still in the race. Many Paul supporters were in the crowd.

“Despite what you’ve seen and heard in the media,” Paul is still running for president, said Dubin, an organizer for the Paul campaign.

“Take a look around, see the Ron Paul delegates in your midst,” Dubin said. “Embrace them.”

Dubin’s speech was peppered with cheers and chants as Paul supporters waved signs.

“Being a Republican stands for something,” he said, citing limited government, strong defense and “respecting the second amendment.”

‘Together we have the power to make this party what it was always supposed to be,” Dupin said, asking that Paul delegates would be considered.
