Mitt Romney delegates have swept six of 10 contests at the state convention in Tacoma but Ron Paul supporters were able to elect their favored delegates in two others.

Two remain and are needing extra rounds of balloting to reach a verdict, state party chairman Kirby Wilbur said.

So far, Wilbur said, “It went exceedingly smoothly. There’s no blood on the floor. I’m very pleased.”

Each of 10 congressional districts picks three delegates to the Republican National Convention. Supporters swept the Seattle-area 7th district and picked up at least two of three in southwest Washington’s 3rd district. The third was a Rick Santorum delegate favored by the Paul supporters.
