Thank you, PNWmom. I was so disappointed at the tenor of the comments until I saw yours. It is one thing to disagree with someone's politics. Quite another to say we should ban him from the state or call him a crook. I happen to think he is a thoughtful leader, who listens to what his constituents care about. He gives a lot of himself to the job because he believes in being a public servant and a leader. He also happens to be a very nice person. I might not agree with McKenna's politics, his values may not be my values, and I certainly would not vote for him for that reason regardless of his party, but I am not going to post a bunch of rotten things about him because I disagree with him. There is no productive discussion to me had in that and it would not change anyone's mind my way if I did.

It is wonderful news that Ron Sims is coming home to Washington state.

He is an inspiring and effective leader and a tremendous advocate for children and families. I bet he is a great neighbor ~ unlike the hateful people who seem intent on spreading poisonous comments here without doing a bit of good for our community.

Many thanks for the great work done at HUD while in DC, Ron. Welcome home.

Yah, like HUD did great things with Sims' "leadership". Are the Democrats so pathetically void of viable candidates for Gov that they would consider Ron? Oh that's right, Seattle has Jim McDermott as congressman-for-life. They would certainly feel Ron would make a good Guv!

Ron Sims would be a outstanding canidate. He has been in D.C> with President Obama and know how to run government. Sims would be the closest thing to having Obama himself in the Gov. Mansion.

Run, Ron, Run.........
