The White House released a statement today from President Barack Obama on Gov. Chris Gregoire‘s decision not to run for re-election.

I applaud Governor Gregoire for her decades of outstanding service to the people of Washington.  From Seattle to Pullman, Gov. Gregoire has demonstrated relentless determination in her efforts to foster economic growth, strengthen the communities she serves and improve the lives of millions of Americans. As a fierce advocate for American businesses, she continues to work tirelessly to promote American goods, open up new markets and strengthen American businesses abroad.  As chairwoman of the National Governors Association, Gov. Gregoire not only fosters strong bipartisanship among her colleagues, she helps build common-sense solutions to some of our nation’s toughest problems. Michelle and I, along with the people of Washington, will miss her outstanding leadership and thank her for her years of service.

  1. So… Attorney General?

  2. When did Gregoire become a Muslim?

  3. “she continues to work tirelessly to promote” strong unions and illegal//undocumented aliens benefit programs…all at the expense of the hard working taxpayers!!!

  4. Another intellectually challenged racist, most likely a product of homeschooling, calling Obama a Muslim. I am amazed garbage like this is still out there but then most Tea Party types coudn’t get past remedial 2dn grade if they tried.
As for “illegal/undocumented aliens benefit programs”, Delmonte and other agricultural corporate giants that DO NOT PAY TAXES such as meatpackers and sugar producers have long lobbied the same Republicans who stir the pot with these wedge issues NOT to tighten up on undocumented workers. Both Republican and Democratic representatives in private give a nod to these corporate giants and stall any and all immigration reform. Immigration reform would be devastating to small and medium sized farms here in Washington as well and many would simply fold. We had legislation that would allow undocumented worker to EARN their citizenship through working and paying taxes for at least ten years or join the service for our country but REPUBLICANS blocked it so don’t look to these “bought and paid for” sleaze balls to solve the problem. Last I checked hard working union employees paid their fair share of taxes unlike most corporations.

  5. RS: If you write more than two lines, these people can’t understand it. Keep it brief, brother and keep trying. You may actually win a convert or two. Well…. maybe one.
