One hundred and thirty-four days into lawmakers’ work this year, they plan to reveal a final budget plan.

The announcement is coming up in a few minutes. Lawmakers are leaving their party caucuses where they were briefed on the budget.

Meanwhile, the word is that a late-night bargaining session in Gov. Chris Gregoire’s office went until 5:30 a.m.

Lawmakers were hashing out their differences on the debt limit, a debate that threatened Monday to stall the special session’s adjournment scheduled for Wednesday. Do they have an agreement? We should find out shortly.

A side issue of the special session has been dropped. The medical marijuana bill won’t survive, its sponsor says.
